College is Back in the Swing of Things

So ya God is going to have to make an academic miricle happen this semester. I was able to save some money on books. This week I am doing without most of my books because I needed to get the ISBN numbers from the book store. I ordered them on half.com. There was one book for .75 that in the book store was 9 dollars.

I am living in fiarlane apartments this year.

New Chapter

This summer taught me alot of things. Don’t wear my heart on my sleeve. Don’t go out there on a limb without making sure someone isn’t behind me with a chainsaw ready at any moment to cut off the branch that I would be sitting on.

I will be in an appartment for the first time. I am looking forward to the opprotunity of having seperation from the busyness of every day. But will hopfully have more control of the situation.

I miss people from THE OAKS so dearly. I will think about them often while I experience new challenges in life. I think I will get some pictures from this summer blown up as key reminders of the good times. So that when times get me down I will be reminded of when times weren’t so bad after all.

I do have some unfinished business left over: U.S. History HIS 122. I signed up to take the class this summer. Unfortantly it didn’t work out so well to finish it while I worked 8-10 hour days at THE OAKS as rock and water instructor. I have been working on it this week and it is going to take me longer to finish it than I thought. I hope that once I get into SCHOOL MODE that it will amp the focus that I can have on finishing it. I have until NOV. to finish it. But I’m also taking 17 credit hours this semester. My prayer this school year is that I don’t fail any more classes. Because its going to be bad enough for Advance Stats next summer will be the last class that I will have to get done inorder to graduate.

Here is the game plan so far. After I graduate, so in Fall of 2008 move out to Lake Hughes, CA to work at THE OAKS as a full time Media person. This is where I would be in a role to use every aspect of my major. Computer Programming, Graphic Arts, Web Design, Audio and Video. There is also the possibility if things go well, of becomming a WORLD IMPACT missionary. I don’t totally know what God has instore for me but I know he has some big plans for me. Since Soph. year of High School he called me into the ministry of non-traditional ministry. As I like to say; “Using Media with a Message”. Using the modern tools of media to tell a story to get a kids attention and to impact lives and point them back to Christ.

Good to be back

The visit with my sister and brother-in-law went really well. I was able to feed my neice a bottle of goat milk and change her diper. She is so cute Arial Faith.

I was there from Wed. morning til friday afternoon. Then this next week I will need to finish up my history class that I wasn’t able to finish before I got back from camp. Then school starts the 27th of aug.

22 Hours of Tom Hanks’ Terminal

So I ended up having a fun adventure. It came time for me to head home. I started packing at 4am and had to leave at 5:30 am. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to fit everything into my bags. The reason I left at 5:30 am on Tuesday for a 12:25 am Wed. morning flight. The camp wasn’t going to drop me off at Ontario, California because it was 2 hours and 40 mins. away from camp. The reason I went with the ATA flight from Ontario is because it was the only one that was non stop others would have had 2 lay overs.

I got to the airport at 8am. I couldn’t check my luggage in until 10pm. So all I had in my stomach was sausage egg busicits from McDonald’s. I sat for a long time. I watch some of the office 3rd season. Then I purchased Wi-Fi for 5.99 for 12 hours. I thought that was a great price. I want to thank all of you that checked in on me and making sure I was doing alright. It wasn’t until 7pm that I decided why not order a pizza. So I asked the guy at the info booth if anyone delivered. Found the phone number and ordered. It took about 40 mins to get the pizza. here is a picture of me waiting outside for the pizza.

What a slippery slope?

Well today I was finishing up our last task of the day which was to drive up to the spider’s web on the top of the ridge and drop off some landscaping steps. As I was backing down the ridge my back right tire slide off the top about 1 foot. I tried to pull forward it wouldn’t go. So then I put it in 4-wheel drive and atempted once to go forward. It didn’t work so then I radioed my boss, Dan, I told him I was backing up and needed him to come.

It’s My B-Day

Wow, I think I heard Happy Birthday I think 5 trillion times. It was a little overwelming. But I felt I was worthy because being born was a hard thing. Then the Smith’s made me a cake. It was very moist. Then I was given 22 cup cakes for my birthday.
